We sadly did not pass. She couldn't float on back and flutter kick? I don't know what that really is but I will be looking it up to make sure it isn't because of her perthes that has stopped this from being done! Gage also didn't pass. I think his worst thing he couldn't do was not listening to the teacher! Grrrr... I told him he could have done that right and he agreed that he should have tried harder.
I also wanted to take a moment on here and mention the Perthes momma drama and tell all of them that regardless of our differences it is all about our children in the end. We need to learn to stand together and not on top of each other! I know there is not just one to blame but several from what I have seen and hope we can work it all out! If not life will only get more lonely...

What an amazing weekend!
Our weekend started on Thursday night after swim lessons were all done! At least that is when Pie Pie, Gage and I left with one of their aunts to go to Minneapolis. We stopped in Saux Centre Thursday night because that's where their dad was working! Pie Pie was so sore by the time we got there but she fell asleep with in an hour with a little medicine and an ice pack.. Once she was asleep everyone else was able to fall asleep rather quickly!
On Friday morning Pie, Gage and I went down and had some continental breakfast then went swimming for a few hours! A group of older women came in to do there morning water aerobics routine and they all kept telling me what wonderful children I had. They also couldn't get over how good Pie could swim all by herself! (We had forgotten her bubble in the car) After realizing the time, the kids and I ran to the room, showered and packed up all our stuff to head to Monticello. Once we got there we dropped our stuff in the hotel room and then headed to the Mall of America. We started off by getting something to eat then shopping to pass the time before we got to see my niece. The kids were bummed that we didn't take them on rides this time but Pie loved the Disney store and Gage liked looking at all the sports and video game stores! Around 6 we met up with my niece and her mom at the MOA and went and eat at Chipotle.
We then headed down to Sea Life. It was a wonderful place! The kids loved seeing the fish swimming all around them and all the different types! I loved the jelly fish room and the way they had it set up.
Once we finished at Sea Life we told my neice good-bye and headed back to the hotel for another long swim with the kids! This time I remembered Pie's bubble for swimming so she was able to swim much further without my help! However, she still liked to take it off so she could jump into the pool and touch the bottom! After swimming we decided it was time for bed! We all slept pretty good but Pie was a little restless.
Saturday morning was full of swimming too! Once that was out of our systems we went for pizza and my neice and her mom met us there! We talked for awhile then headed to the outlet mall in Albertville. Gage and Jesse were only up for shopping a little bit so they ended up back at the hotel a lot earlier then Pie, my neice, her mom and I! We shopped for hours and found lots of really cute clothes! We finished up shopping and headed back to Monticello. We found Jesse sleeping so we took Gage and went to an arcade and resterant for supper. It was fun for all!
After that my neice, Gage, Pie and I headed back to the hotel for a fun little sleepover! We went swimming, ate cookies, and watched the movie HOP. Well some of the movie!! We ended up falling alseep watching it!
On Sunday we knew our weekend was running out of time so we wanted to make the most of it! We went to the Sculpture Garden and the Como zoo. Both were free and great fun! We ended our time with my neice in Edina at a cute little burger place I fell in love with the last time I was in the cities!
We then parted ways and we headed back to the hotel for MORE swimming! After we were done we showered and the kids went to bed while I packed up our stuff to start heading home the next morning... I then fell asleep too!
The last day... Monday... we spent this eating breakfast at I Hop and putting our stuff in the car. It was sad leaving but it was also very exciting to be going home! The wind was insane so I drove straight through with only one stop for gas. When we got back home we dropped our stuff at home and headed out to get my dogs. One the way home we stopped for Mcd's. At home we watched tv and ate! If the storm wouldn't have gotten so bright and loud the kids would have fallen asleep after eating but instead they were both up tell almost midnight! Today Gage woke up easly but Pie was a pill to get up!
Gage is excited to show off the journal he wrote and all the brochures of the places we saw and pictures of his neice at school today. Pie is now enjoying watching her movie and laying around! Hope the energy level picks up a bit before the swimming test today!

Good day!
Well today Pie had a great day! She didn't seem to have any pain again!! Pie had fun helping me out most of the day! She is excited for our big weekend! She can't wait and neither can Gage! I think I should have left them in the dark a little more though because they are having issues sleeping now! Go figure! Well hopefully I will be able to find some time to post a bit this weekend but if not I will be back to it Monday! Have a great weekend!!

Show off!
Pie did really good at her swimming lessons. She really loves the water! Gage also did wonderful at his lessons! He has come a long ways! Hope that they don't miss the lessons to much this summer! Anyways after all the swimming both the kids were starving so we got some subway and went back to the Y for Gage's basketball practice. Gage wasn't really into the game but had fun anyways. Pie Pie found a little boy to play with. She followed him everywhere and they played catch. They also jumped off the step a few times and Pie started to walk weird. I am hoping that she will stop soon but she doesn't seem to be in pain from it.. I hope I am right! But on a brighter note I was able to share a little bit about Perthes to another parent that has a son in practice with Gage. She had never heard of anything like it before. It was also nice to be able to chit chat with another parent for a while! But now that the kids are sleeping I better get caught up on some work!
Not cool Pie Pie!!!
The last couple nights Pie has been waking up in the middle of the night to ask if she can lay in my room. I am not really sure why she wants to do this now but she does it in a way that drives me nuts! After I am sleeping she comes in my room and turns on the light! Not only do I wake up in a confused panic but Kitty (our black lab mix) freaks out too! What a nightmare! LOL!! However, other then that she seems to be doing really good! She has swim lessons tonight and can't wait to get in the water! She only has a few lessons left but hopefully we will be able to go camping and swimming a lot this summer!

My head hurts so this will be short!!
I just wanted to let everyone know that so far last night and today Pie seems to be pain free! I am very happy for her! I hope that it can continue on being like this! Besides it is a lot more fun to tell you about the fun adventures we go on than all the pain my poor Pie has!!

Just Keep Going!
So Pie had a good night last night but her aunt said she woke up a little sore. She gave Pie some medicine and after church she seemed to be doing ok again. Pie did do her Itty Bitty Sports which was it was t-ball day but I could tell she wasn't feeling the greatest. I felt bad that I had made the wrong choice for her but she had a lot of fun and took it easy the rest of the day! Actually, Pie sat in the back of my vehicle for two hours while Gage and another scout went door to door collecting a ton of food for local food banks! It was so great to watch them give to our community! Pie also enjoyed watching them try to carry the big bags of food! She thought they were silly! But now we are home and Pie is laying with an ice pack and took some medicine. I am praying she sleeps good and wakes up feeling refreshed with little to no pain!

I don't get it!
OK I don't understand, Pie woke up around midnight in pain. I gave her some medicine and she continued to get up countless times last night from pain in the left hip. She had been complaining about her right hip the day before but now it's the left... Anyways, she continued to tell me she hurts and tiptoed around until Gage's basketball game. Pie also said laying down hurt her worse then moving around... That isn't normal for her.. But during the game she seemed to be feeling better. However, I told her auntie who is going to watch her tonight to keep giving her medicine every 4-6 hours and to keep her from over doing it today. Hope that will help her with the pain. I am thinking this must mean that she is having good regrowth right now?!?! But I am not really sure.. Thankfully Pie will be getting her x-rays again in April!

Great day!
Wow! 80 degrees in the middle of March in North Dakota is crazy! I can't think of a time it was this nice! Anyways, Pie loved it and we had a great time outside today. She seemed to be pain free today but we still took it pretty slow so she could feel her best for the weekend. So, we spent the night trying to make egg things with flour, Sta Flo, stings and balloons! What a mess but so much fun!! Hope tonight goes as great as today did!

Regrowth?
Poor Pie Pie woke up in pain but around noon seemed to be doing better. We painted to pass some time! She loves arts and crafts so that helps a lot! After we finished painting we checked the mail and were happy to find our L.C.P.D. shirts had finally arrived! Pie insisted on putting hers on and having me and her brother wear ours too! We decided we needed to do a family picture and get it on facebook and on here! She was very proud of her name on the back but was sad it didn't say Pie Pie!
After the excitement of the shirts died down it was time for Pie's swimming lesson. She really likes being in the water! She also loves being with the other kids. Pie is progressing well and has already passed two of the levels! She only has two lessons left before her next test but she has no worries about passing or not..
Once swim lessons were over we came home and ate. Pie and Gage went with their dad for a while so I could have a few minutes of peace! When they got home I helped Gage do some homework and then we finished one of the best books ever (The Invention of Hugo Cabret)! We can't wait to see the movie now! Even while tucking them in, they couldn't stop chattering about watching the movie and how good the book was! Hopefully they have great dreams tonight!

It's been a long time!
So I have been thinking a lot about deleting this blog but have decided to keep it up. I also decided that I will start writing on here more! School has slowed down for me and the kids miss helping me write this! So I think it is only fair to start up again! Well stay tuned for more updates!!
I did want to post the xrays we had done in January 2012...
